# Throwback Sound Systems The Bera Speaker Brings Us Back to the Golden Era of Sound By Alex Scott | Published 2010-04-15 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bera-speaker References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/Gallery/Bera-Speaker/482746) & [coroflot](http://www.coroflot.com/alek_s) Do you often find yourself dissatisfied with your computer speakers' performance, or even more so, computer speaker technology in general? The Bera Speaker looks to bring back more of a [vintage feel and aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nattbadd-bluetooth), hopefully also returning the sound quality of the old school analog systems. Looking like something between a [flower pod](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orris-speaker-concept) and a concept barbecue, the Bera Speaker hopes to bring the sound that was once enjoyed by the older [multi-component systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harman-kardon-soundsticks-5) to your PC. It looks to do away with the hollow, boomy base most systems offer now and instead provide a more rich, room-filling low end that will be sure to drive your landlord nuts. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Vintage Sound Systems:** The Bera Speaker brings back vintage feel and aesthetic, creating disruptive innovation opportunities in the sound system industry. - **Analog Audio Experience:** The Bera Speaker aims to recreate the analog audio experience, offering disruptive innovation opportunities in the computer speaker technology sector. - **Enhanced Sound Quality:** The Bera Speaker provides a more rich, room-filling low end, disrupting the market for hollow and boomy sound systems. ### Who This Affects Most - **Consumer Electronics:** The Bera Speaker disrupts the consumer electronics industry by reintroducing vintage sound systems with improved sound quality. - **Audio Technology:** The Bera Speaker opens up disruptive innovation opportunities in the audio technology industry by emphasizing analog audio experience over digital. - **Home Entertainment:** The Bera Speaker revolutionizes the home entertainment industry by offering a nostalgic feel and enhanced sound quality for computers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stylish Low-Tech Sound Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-sound.md) - [Powerful Vintage-Inspired Stereo Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/klipsch.md) - [Modernized Retro Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-memory.md) - [Retro Sound Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/d32.md) - [Whimsically Designed Speaker Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-for-ara-fs1-and-fs2.md) - [Connected Retro Design Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ruark-r140-sound-system.md) - [Vintage-Style Audio Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edifier-d32.md) - [Future-Proof Luxurious Portable Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beosound-a5-portable-speaker.md) - [Minimalist Art Piece Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/totem-rr231.md)
