The light works by being affixed onto the top of a monitor where it will cast light downwards onto the user's workstation, which prevents rays from bouncing around and refracting into the user's eyes. The unit also features a rear-mounted LED unit to brighten up the space behind the monitor, which could help to further reduce the effects of digital eye strain. The BenQ ScreenBar Halo monitor light bar works with any monitor thanks to its patented clamp design and works with a wireless controller to customize functionality.
