The Italian studio uses 100% natural and stabilized lichen moss to create fully customizable [indoor wall oases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vert-installation). These unique living fixtures are completely self-sufficient and [maintenance-free](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tendril-1). The lichen walls are made with a moss called Cladonia Stellaris, native to Northern European forests, which never attracts dust or bugs. Naturally cream-colored, the moss is available in 12 different colors. To amplify the oasis experience, an upgraded version of the [vertical garden](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plantafrom-smart-indoor-garden) features an aluminum panel that supports the moss and is capable of producing sound through engineering technology. The panels connect to an exterior amplifier controlled by the user through the Benetti Homes app. Image Credit: Yanko Design ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Eco Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/ecoarchitecture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Indoor Living Walls:** Designing and installing self-sufficient natural lichen walls indoor to bring greenery to indoor spaces - **Maintenance-free Living Fixtures:** Creating maintenance-free customized living fixtures indoor with natural lichen to reduce maintenance costs - **Vertical Gardens with Sound:** Incorporating engineering technology to produce sound in natural lichen vertical gardens for enhanced user experience ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Creating visually appealing and environmentally friendly indoor spaces with sustainable natural lichen living fixtures, such as walls and vertical gardens - **Real Estate:** Offering customized natural lichen living fixtures in homes for a more sustainable and nature-friendly indoor lifestyle - **Smart Home Technology:** Developing and integrating user-controlled engineering technology for sound production in natural lichen vertical gardens as a smart home feature ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Natural Moss Terrariums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petite-foret-plus.md) - [Nature-Inspired Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flower-power-moss-wall-art.md) - [Living Moss Humidifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moss-humidifier-concept.md) - [Mini Mess-Free Garden Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponics-garden.md) - [Indoor Air Quality-Improving Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elpo-indoor-vertical-garden.md) - [Water-Less Minimal Design Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/botnica.md) - [Moss-Powered Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moss-air.md) - [Self-Watering Multifunctional Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grow-lamp.md) - [Plant-Filled Latticed Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touching-eden-house.md)
