They are yelling for a [cool artsy apartment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apartamento-secreto) to take them in. The brilliantly surreal telephone table is made by design company [Sunday Land](http://www.sundayland.com/) and is a fabulous tribute to the Surrealist movement. The lovely [accordion dresser](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moving-furniture) is my favorite though, closely followed by the similarly [surreal desk lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arnardo-desk) with the bulging light bulb designed by Pike Bergmans. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Quirky Home Decor:** Explore unique and imaginative home decor designs that challenge traditional conventions. - **Surrealist Furniture:** Discover furniture pieces inspired by the Surrealist movement, offering a whimsical touch to interior design. - **Functional Art:** Embrace the fusion of art and functionality with furniture and decor that blurs the line between the two. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate surreal and quirky home decor to create visually stunning and conversation-inducing spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can explore opportunities to create unique and innovative designs that combine artistry with practicality. - **Art and Design Retail:** Art and design retailers can showcase and promote surreal home decor items to cater to customers seeking distinctive and unconventional pieces for their homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Playful Toy-Like Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frunchroom-furniture-collection.md) - [Surrealist-Inspired Clock Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salvador-clock.md) - [Abstract Jigsaw-Like Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spectator-shelf.md) - [Surrealist-Inspired Tea Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tea-for-two-collection.md) - [Artsy Surrealist Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gohar-world.md) - [Unique Burl-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/don-heston-studio.md) - [Wavy Sculptural Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-coffee-tables.md) - [Creature-Inspired Home Good Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charles-jeffreys-loverboy.md) - [Mesmerizing Bright Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draga-aurel1.md)
