Instead of making ultra sleek and futuristic designs for the Mac OS laptops, Ben Vessey does the opposite and equips modern technology with a retro interface.

Vessey is an Amsterdam-based art director and conceptual designer who has a liking for the design concepts of computer layouts from the 80s. He has created an old-school design that doesn't use fancy shadow effects or gradients but rather minimal designs that goes back roughly 25 years. Vessey takes [modern icons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pc-folder-wallet) and embellishes it with the styles from the Mac OS '84.

Ben Vessey replicates the original Mac OS '84 wallpaper, which consist of a flat background with a black and white pixelated appeal. There's no money involved here as users can download this retro interface with a simple click on a [Facebook](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/facebook-verified) 'Like' or Tweet.
