# Ruched Leather Stools The Bellows Collection by Toan Nguyen By Meghan Young | Published 2010-01-26 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bellows-collection References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2010/01/26/the-bellows-collection-by-toan-nguyen/) & [toannguyenstudio](http://www.toannguyenstudio.com/) Although a little too edgy and dominatrix-y for me, the Bellows Collection can add some interest to a room simply by just being in it. With great detailing, these ruched, leather pieces of furniture act as a stool and side table. Designed by Toan Nguyen, the Bellows Collection is available in two colors (black or brown) and two sizes (the larger one is the table). As part of Walter Knoll, I’m sure this leather set will be a hit. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Ruched Leather Furniture:** Opportunity to innovate by combining edgy design and functionality in furniture. - **Detailed Furniture:** Opportunity to create furniture with intricate detailing that adds interest to a room. - **Dual-purpose Furniture:** Opportunity to design furniture that serves multiple functions, such as acting as a stool and side table. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Innovative design opportunities to create unique and visually appealing furniture. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity to incorporate edgy and detailed furniture into interior design projects. - **Luxury Home Decor:** Opportunity to cater to high-end customers looking for unique and stylish furniture pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Vintage-Inspired Barstools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inheritance-barstool.md) - [Sculptural Monochromatic Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monochromatic-stool.md) - [Ultra-Comfy Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushy-lounge-chair.md) - [Smart Bulbous Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buffo.md) - [Human Form-Inspired Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tube-collection.md) - [Bold-Tonal Organic Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pressura.md) - [Sculptural Metal Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pul-collection.md) - [Techno Leather Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rudi.md) - [Limited Rippled Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rippled-stool.md)
