# Zeppelin Airship Architecture Bellemo & Cat Create a Cocoon House From Aircraft Engineering By Rachel | Published 2009-08-28 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bellemo-cat-cocoon-house References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/24466/) & [designerchoice.au](http://www.designerchoice.com.au/cgblog/15/51/Zeppelin-House) Using the engineering of the Zeppelin Airship, Bellemo & Cat’s [Cocoon House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/long-black) looks like a crashed airship on the slope of a hill. Located in the [Australian forest](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-the-forest), the Cocoon House is entirely wood-paneled on the inside and is surprisingly modern given its old airship exterior. Bellemo & Cat’s Cocoon House is definitely a site to be seen, as seeing a Zeppelin Airship is interesting enough, living in one is even more interesting. **Implications** - Consumers in modern society are only attracted to the most clean-cut designs. Products that feature a contemporary aesthetic are appealing to those who want to stay on the cutting edge of trends. Companies trying to stay relevant could adopt this when coming out with new items. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Zeppelin-inspired Architecture:** Opportunities to create unique and eye-catching designs by drawing inspiration from airship engineering. - **Modern Rustic Interior Design:** Integrating natural and sustainable materials like wood paneling in contemporary living spaces. - **Futuristic Nostalgia Design:** Blending vintage and futuristic elements to create designs that are both retro and modern. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Interior Design:** Opportunities to create unconventional and visually stunning living spaces for adventurous clients. - **Product Design and Manufacturing:** Incorporating retro-futuristic elements in modern product designs to appeal to consumers looking for unique and cutting-edge designs. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Creating themed hotels, lodges, and resorts that feature innovative designs inspired by airship engineering to attract adventurous travelers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Inflatable House-Shaped Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-architecture-inflatable-tent.md) - [Luxurious Superyacht Airship Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colossea.md) - [Helium-Filled Airship Yachts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-yacht.md) - [Circus Tent-Inspired Holiday Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-circus.md) - [Stilts-Reading Suspended Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hole-with-the-house-around.md) - [Futuristic Capsule House Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capsule-house.md) - [Geometric Structural Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c-house.md) - [Elevated Treetop Modern Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buitenverblijf-nest.md) - [Mountaintop Cantilevered Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/levitae-house.md)
