This massive docking station is actually a gigantic speaker designed in the shape of a piece of carry-on luggage. The Behringer Backyard Blaster has a built-in battery that can last for 12 hours on a single charge. The device is built specifically for iDevices with its 30-pin connector, but can also work with Android phones or other MP3 players with its AUX cable. No bout of drunken revelry would be complete without karaoke; thankfully, the Behringer Backyard Blaster has karaoke covered with its built-in microphone. Behringer is keeping mum on the pricing and release date of their new dock. Here's hoping it arrives by summer as it seems to be ideal for backyard BBQs. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.5/10 - Popularity: 10% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Multimedia](https://www.trendhunter.com/multimedia) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Speaker Docks for House Parties:** With the rise of backyard parties, there is an opportunity for companies to create more innovative and durable speaker docks that can cater to the party scene. - **Portable Battery-powered Speaker Systems:** As consumers look for convenient ways to take music with them, there is an opportunity for companies to create more innovative speaker systems that can function on battery power for outdoor events. - **Integrated Karaoke Microphones in Speaker Docks:** Karaoke is an integral part of house parties, and integrating a microphone along with the speaker dock provides convenience, thus creating an opportunity for companies to innovate on this front. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Consumer Electronics:** Consumer electronics companies can capitalize on the demand for innovative and portable speaker systems that cater to the party scene. - **Event Planning:** Event planning companies can incorporate new speaker dock options as part of their services for clients, to provide a unique selling point for outdoor parties. - **Music Entertainment:** Music entertainment companies can leverage the trend of integrated karaoke microphones in speaker docks to create new products designed specifically for home parties and other gatherings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Massive Party Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bromley-750.md) - [Party-Ready Bluetooth Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sony-srsxv900.md) - [Bluetooth Karaoke Setups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inbase.md) - [Powerful Portable Party Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hyperboom.md) - [Future-Proof Luxurious Portable Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beosound-a5-portable-speaker.md) - [Large Rechargeable Portable Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hyperboom-portable-speaker.md) - [9-Drive Tower-Like Party Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/srsvx900.md) - [Ludicrously Loud Bluetooth Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loud-bluetooth-speaker.md) - [Phone Charger-Infused Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phone-chargerinfused-speaker.md)
