This picture book, A Day in Code, is not an ordinary programming book. It uses simple C programs to describe situations in a continuous story about a fun-filled day. The [full-page illustrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/code-to-image) next to the code pages show the situations. The code is also explained below each program. In contrast to a typical introductory program that outputs a mundane value, a program in this book will output the number of pizzas left over after a pizza party.

All the programs in the book can be compiled with a C compiler and run on one's computer. Beginners will enjoy learning [core programming concepts and C syntax](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/codeventure) by reading this fun picture book.
