# Vacuum-Sealed Ale Tankards These Drink Tanks Do the Work of a Beer Mug and a Personal Keg By Gil Cohen | Published 2013-03-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beer-mug References: [kickstarter](http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/584321487/the-perfect-beer-drinking-vessel-and-private-keg) & [drinktanks](http://www.drinktanks.com/) A giant pitcher isn't always the best way to go when consuming copious amounts of beer, but a beer mug with a resealable lid is definitely going to come in handy. Drink Tanks provides beer drinkers with a [giant mug](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alessi-buri-tumbler) that comes with a hefty handle, and the option of getting a Keg Cap Tap that closes the tankard with an air-tight seal that can be used as a keg tap. Made out of [18/8 stainless steel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/standard-carafe), this specialty mug is sure to keep your brew tasting fresh and cool. The [vacuum-insulated seal](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carter-carry-xl-tumbler) makes certain that the beer will not lose its carbonation for a whole 24 hours. This is the beer mug for those who want to save some ale for later, or tend to order more than they can finish. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Vacuum-sealed Ale Tankards:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a line of vacuum-sealed drinkware for other beverages, such as coffee or soda, to keep them hot or cold for extended periods of time. - **Resealable Lid Beer Mugs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create resealable lid designs for other beverage containers, like wine glasses or cocktail glasses, to allow for easy transportation and preservation of drinks. - **Keg Cap Tap:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Invent a universal keg cap tap that can be used with various types of drink containers, expanding its usability beyond beer mugs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Drinkware Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate new materials and technologies to create innovative drinkware products that offer improved insulation and resealable features. - **Beverage Packaging:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop packaging solutions with resealable lids or taps that enhance drink preservation and convenience, catering to the on-the-go lifestyle. - **Brewing and Beverage Equipment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore advancements in keg cap tap technology to make it adaptable to different beverage containers, revolutionizing the way drinks are served and stored. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Insulated Craft Beer Growlers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wren-offroad-growler.md) - [Compact Portable Libation Kegs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/square-one-mini-keg.md) - [Ultra-Heavy Mugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oceanus-brass-tankard.md) - [Portable Draft Beer Kegerators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kombi-cool-tap.md) - [At-Home Beer Keg Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/athome-beer-keg-machine.md) - [Grill-Inspired Beer Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miller-lite-big-green-kegg.md) - [Coffee-Cooling Travel Mugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beverage-tumbler.md) - [Insulated Tall Can Koozies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tallboy-cooler-cup.md) - [Pilsner-Packed Party Kegs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/party-keg.md)
