Designed by Italy-based Andrea Cingoli, the 'Balamp' is capable of [inductive charging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-sleep-nightstand) and features a subtle illumination method that keeps it rather discreet in the bedroom. The 'Balamp' is totally controllable via the accompanying app and can also be used as an [alarm clock](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wake-sleep-light). The LED strip within the unit enable the color of the lights to be changed according to mood or preference. The 'Balamp' Bedside Table Lamp also projects the time onto the surface it's placed on to ensure that the time is discreetly displayed rather than being shined in a person's face. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 82% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Inductive Charging Lamps:** The trend of inductive charging lamps is disrupting the traditional lamp industry by providing a convenient and wireless way to power lamps. - **Smart Lamps:** The trend of smart lamps, like the 'Balamp', is revolutionizing the way we interact with lamps, allowing users to control their lighting and other functions through smartphone apps. - **Multi-functional Lamps:** The trend of multi-functional lamps, such as the 'Balamp' with its alarm clock and time projection features, is providing consumers with versatile and space-saving lighting solutions. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Lighting:** The lighting industry has the opportunity to embrace inductive charging technology and incorporate it into their lamp designs to meet the growing demand for convenient and wireless power solutions. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can take advantage of the trend of smart lamps by offering stylish and technologically advanced lighting options that seamlessly integrate into modern home designs. - **Technology:** The technology industry has the opportunity to collaborate with lamp manufacturers to develop innovative and smart lighting solutions that can be controlled through smartphone apps, providing users with a personalized and connected lighting experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Interactive Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tap-tap-table-lamp.md) - [Magnetic Charging Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spot-on-charger.md) - [Multifunctional Sleek Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boring-lamp.md) - [Warm LED Artful Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bellboy-table-lamp.md) - [Interconnecting Component Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-table-lamp.md) - [Compact Elaborate LED Smart-Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cup-lamp.md) - [Nautically Themed Metallic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/khonsu-clock-lamp.md) - [Elegant Compact Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light.md) - [Quirky Common Item Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-lamp-lighter.md)
