# Slidable Sleeping Sofas The Vento Convertible Bed Couch Does Not Need to be Pulled Out By Gil Cohen | Published 2013-04-03 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bed-couch References: [dornob](http://dornob.com/new-twist-slide-on-classic-convertible-couch-paradigm/) & [die-collection.de](http://www.die-collection.de/en/franz-fertig-liegen.html) Unlike an ordinary pull out couch, the Vento convertible bed couch does not require any heavy lifting or spring mechanisms in order to operate. Simply slide one side of the [L-shaped sofa](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aire-modular) to meet the other side and it instantly transforms into a comfortably spacious sleeping space. Without having to be unfolded, this bed is a much sturdier surface that won't cave in the middle or squeak whenever someone moves a muscle. It also eliminates any risk of breaking down or getting stuck halfway through opening, making this [sofa bed](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eclipse-collection-1) a much more reliable solution that most pull out couches. No difficult manual labor is required with the Vento convertible bed couch and it looks just as stylish as a cozy bed as it does as a large corner sofa. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 84% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Slidable Furniture:** Opportunity for furniture manufacturers to create slidable versions of other furniture, such as tables or chairs. - **Sturdy Convertible Furniture:** Opportunity for furniture manufacturers to create more sturdy convertible furniture solutions using sliding mechanisms instead of pull-out beds. - **Efficient Apartment Furniture:** Opportunity for furniture manufacturers to create apartment-sized furniture that is both stylish and efficient like the Vento convertible bed couch. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can leverage the Vento convertible bed couch's slidable mechanism to revolutionize other types of furniture. - **Home Goods Retail:** Home goods retailers can offer a more reliable furniture solution to customers with the Vento convertible bed couch and capitalize on the trend towards more efficient living spaces. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can recommend the Vento convertible bed couch to clients as a stylish and practical addition to small living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Space-Saving Convertible Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coddle-luke-sleeper-sofa.md) - [Compact Collapsing Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acordion-modular-sofa.md) - [Versatile Sofa-Bed Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neptune-sofa.md) - [Collapsible Timber Sofa Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ospite-folding-sofa.md) - [Motorized Sofa Wall Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tonale.md) - [Modular Inflatable Furniture Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transforming-sofa.md) - [Hidden Murphy Bed Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tonale-murphy-bed.md) - [Versatile Modular Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transformer-couch-20.md) - [Space-Saving Sleeper Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aria-fabric-sleeper-sofa.md)
