The canvas is lit from behind by using a series of very small lamps in order to cast shadows on to the canvas. This piece of art is created by cutting out paper silhouettes and placing them between the light and the canvas so that the shadows almost look painted on to the canvas. Dark and disturbing is something that is a running theme throughout the game Limbo, and that theme is definetly present within this picture frame.
