# Bearded Cartoon Characters These Humorous Images Portray Iconic Cartoons with Handsome Facial Hair By Ady Floyd | Published 2015-08-20 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bearded-cartoon References: [buzzfeed](http://www.buzzfeed.com/pedrofequiere/13-cartoon-characters-who-would-be-way-hotter-with-beards?utm_term=4ldqpia) BuzzFeed created a humorous collection of bearded cartoon characters that completely transforms the iconic images of well-known television characters. Each of the men in these images receives a makeover simply with the addition of facial hair. Most of the images present a humorous look at the bearded cartoon characters thanks to their gestures and poses. For example, [Homer Simpson's image](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-simpsons-x-family-mart) shows him hugging a pig inside of his car. While the image alone sounds funny, the added facial scruff creates a whole new level of quirky. Other images show boyish cartoon characters that don't suit their freshly grown beards at all. Images of Johnny Bravo and [Shaggy from Scooby Doo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burger-king-scoobydoo) are great examples of characters that can't pull the beards off as well as other characters can. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.8/10 - Popularity: 98% | Activity: 98% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Bearded Cartoon Characters:** Transforming iconic cartoon characters with facial hair creates a humorous and quirky twist. - **Humorous Makeovers:** Adding facial hair to cartoon characters creates a whole new level of quirkiness and humor. - **Mismatched Beards:** Cartoon characters with boyish looks and beards create a comedic juxtaposition. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can capitalize on the trend by creating humorous content featuring bearded cartoon characters. - **Fashion:** The fashion industry can explore bearded cartoon characters in their designs, creating quirky and humorous clothing lines. - **Digital Media:** Digital media platforms can leverage the trend to create viral content and engage with users through funny and relatable bearded cartoon characters. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Playful Hockey Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beard-in-a-box.md) - [Mystery Cartoon Bodycare](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scoobydoo-x-lush.md) - [Anthropomorphic Hair Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hair-ballad.md) - [Unique Real Facial Hair Billboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dollar-shave-club1.md) - [Humorous Star-Studded Chip Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/call-of-the-mustaches.md) - [Collaboration Cartoon Cooking Aprons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hedley-bennett-x-bobs-burgers.md) - [Humorous Male-Targeted Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-club-campaign.md) - [Social Good Beard Contests](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/benevolent-beards-contest.md) - [Cartoon Avatar Digital Meetings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zoom-avatar.md)
