# Political Trekkies Presidential Star Trek Makeovers: Beam Me Up, Obama By Cowbag | Published 2009-05-28 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beam-me-up-obama-presidential-star-trek-makeovers References: [urlesque](http://www.urlesque.com/2009/05/12/obama-star-trek-photoshops/) This Obama Star Trek makeover has the legs to give ‘Rick Rolling’ a run for its money. Much like that particular [internet meme](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/americas-next-top-primer), it is also totally pointless. All you have to do is have a fiddle with Obama and turn him into a character from Star Trek. As you can see, the results are just brilliant. I admit to being a little jealous, though, as there is no way on this earth Gordon Brown could carry off ‘trek ears’ as well as the US president. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Star Trek Makeovers:** Opportunity for customization and personalization for fans of popular TV shows and movies. - **Internet Memes:** Potential for creating viral content and engaging audiences through humorous and shareable digital content. - **Character Transformations:** Possibilities for transforming public figures and celebrities into fictional characters for entertainment purposes. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Entertainment Industry:** Opportunity for entertainment companies to offer customized content and experiences to engage and entertain their audience. - **Digital Content Creation:** Potential for content creators to leverage internet memes and viral trends to create engaging and shareable digital content. - **Political Satire:** Possibilities for satirical artists and comedians to transform public figures into fictional characters to provide social commentary and entertainment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci-Fi Film-Themed Dart Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starfleet-phaser-blaster.md) - [Starship-Inspired Dynamic Timepieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magellan-automatic-star-trek-warp-speed.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Musical Episodes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/subspace-rhapsody.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Yacht Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-trek-inspired-yacht.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volkswagen-2.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Whiskey Expressions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-trek-spirits.md) - [Replica Sci-Fi Toy Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playmobil-star-trek-klingon-bird-of-prey.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-trek-discovery-flash-drives.md) - [Informative Election Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roblox-3.md)
