In order to address this and make it possible to have yogis take their practice anywhere, Twisted Guru developed a mat that is ideal for using by the seaside. The large 5-by-7 beach yga mat is made from traditional Indian textiles and has a surface that's naturally non-slip. Taking further inspiration from Indian culture, the mats feature vegetable-dyed colors and patterns that mimic vintage saris and embroidery to honor sacred gods. As well as providing a practical base for working out in the sun, the mats are also ideal for laying down and catching a few rays. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 89% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Eco-friendly Yoga Mats:** Develop eco-friendly yoga mats with natural materials sourced from Asian countries - **Smart Yoga Mats:** Develop smart yoga mats that can connect to mobile applications to track yoga progress - **Travel Yoga Mats:** Develop portable and lightweight yoga mats that can be carried during travels ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Fitness Equipment:** Manufacture and sell beach/yoga mats and accessories for outdoor yoga activities - **Eco-friendly Textile Industry:** Produce and supply eco-friendly textiles made from natural materials for the production of yoga mats - **Smart Technology Industry:** Introduce innovative smart technology into yoga mats to make them more interactive and customizable ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Absorbent Colorful Yoga Towels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorful-yoga-towel.md) - [Heat-Reactive Yoga Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aurora-colorchanging-yoga-mat.md) - [Galaxy-Themed Vegan Yoga Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vegan-yoga-mat.md) - [Eco-Friendly Yoga Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-b-mat.md) - [Balance Board Yoga Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/powers-yoga-yogaboard.md) - [Precise Alignment Yoga Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omalas-align-pro-yoga-mat.md) - [Celebratory Yoga Mat Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/b-mat.md) - [Sustainable Soft Beach Blankets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomadix-festival-blanket.md) - [Contoured Yoga Grip Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wrist-buddy-yoga-blocks.md)
