# Triangle-Shaped Beach Havens This Beach Home Design is Retro and the Perfect Place to Entertain By Farida Helmy | Published 2014-04-27 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beach-home-design References: [freshome](http://freshome.com/2014/04/23/1960s-beach-home-turned-spectacular-modern-frame-residence/) & [bromleycaldari](http://www.bromleycaldari.com) I've always had a fantasy of what my 'adult' beach home design would look like growing up -- or until I made enough money to treat myself. And this is it! This stunning beach home design is unlike any I've ever seen before. Not only is it completely unique, it's also fabulously cozy and the perfect place to go spend your summers in the [Hampton's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tami-wassong) darling. Completely renovated by New York City-based studio [Bromley Caldari Architects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystal-palace-dinosaurs), this striking [1960s beach home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-anglesea) on Fire Island is both a calming haven and a cool social party platform. The retro-decked interiors are rustically chic with a spiral staircase, a double-height living/dining room that stretches the length of the window-clad facade, an open kitchen, full glass windows all around the house and glass that fogs up for privacy. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 91% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Rustic Chic Design:** There are possibilities for leveraging the rustic chic design trend to create unique housing experiences. - **Beachfront Community Living:** Developing beachfront communities with unique properties for people to live in could be a promising investment opportunity. - **Retro-inspired Architecture:** Creating retro-inspired architecture for homes and buildings can offer a fresh and unique experience for residents and visitors alike. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Real Estate:** The real estate industry can capitalize on the demand for unique living experiences by incorporating rustic and retro design elements in their homes and properties. - **Architecture:** Designers and architects can create innovative designs with rustic chic and retro inspirations to provide clients with creative and unique options for their homes and buildings. - **Hospitality & Tourism:** Developing beachfront tourist destinations with unique properties that offer different types of experiences can be a promising investment for the hospitality and tourism industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Beach House Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1980s-beach-house.md) - [Pyramid-Like Suburban Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oza-sabbeth-architects.md) - [Cedar-Clad L-Shaped Beach Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ospreys-landing.md) - [Retro Coastal Home Updates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pebble-beach-residence.md) - [Modern Architectural Seaside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/strandhouse.md) - [Modernist Modern Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/general-assembly-1.md) - [Mid-Century Home Renovation Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fire-island-house.md) - [Compact Beach Resort Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/siesta-key.md) - [Seaside Home Renovation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-de-praia.md)
