[Foster + Partners Architects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/50-electric-boulevard) have proposed this hotel go beside the historic power station's chimneys. The hotel would have 160 rooms while the pool would be set within a rooftop garden designed by [James Corner Field Operations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elko-gen-2). As a part of The Skyline, this [infinity pool-topping hotel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/htel-swexan-x-missoni) would both act as and provide an incredible sight to see, with its placement right beside one of the towering white pillar chimneys. The restaurant and bar within have a design with wide glass panels on the power station-facing wall, to provide a view while dining as well. The hotel will be a part of phase three of the Battersea Power Station development plans. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Luxury Hotel Design:** The development of a luxury hotel with an infinity pool presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the hospitality industry. - **Rooftop Gardens:** The incorporation of a rooftop garden in the hotel's design signifies a trend towards utilizing innovative green spaces to enhance the guest experience. - **Iconic Architecture:** The architect's proposal to build a hotel beside the historic Battersea Power Station highlights the trend of integrating iconic structures into contemporary developments. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Hospitality:** The development of a luxury hotel with a rooftop infinity pool presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the hospitality industry. - **Architecture:** The integration of iconic architecture into contemporary designs presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the architecture industry. - **Landscaping:** The trend towards incorporating innovative rooftop gardens in hotel designs presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the landscaping industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [London-Based Glass Lift Viewpoints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lift-109.md) - [Skylight-Topped English Pool Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/malvern-pool-house.md) - [Curved London Office Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/50-electric-boulevard.md) - [Rooftop Pool Football Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/riverside-stand.md) - [Garden-Surrounded Pool House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geometric-pool-house.md) - [Urban Portugal Swimming Pools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-pool.md) - [Asymmetrical Ultra-Compact Pools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/faraway-pool.md) - [Underwater Pool Window Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hastingssunrise.md) - [Brutalist-Inspired Apartment Redesigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-est.md)
