While the original design was designed by George Barris, 87, his 23-year-old grandson Jared has applied his grandfather's design in his own way to a unique vehicle. The truck goes by the name of Crimefighter F-150. The modification is actually commercially available to [Galpin Auto Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/7-eleven-ford-mustang) customers who purchase a new F-150 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The original Batmobile is still running and kicking, and is actually going up for auction soon. If you have an extra $3 million (the expected selling price) lying around, you can own what is likely the ultimate bat prize for comic book fans around the world. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 45% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Retro-designed Vehicles:** Opportunity for car manufacturers to create modern vehicles with nostalgic designs to appeal to vintage enthusiasts. - **Unique Vehicle Modifications:** Opportunity for customization shops to offer unique modifications to vehicles, creating personalized and eye-catching designs. - **Collector's Cars:** Opportunity for auction houses and collectors to buy and sell rare and iconic vehicles, attracting passionate car enthusiasts. ### Where This Applies - **Automotive:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for car manufacturers to incorporate nostalgic designs and unique modifications into their product lineup. - **Customization Services:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for customization shops to offer personalized and eye-catching vehicle modifications, catering to individual preferences. - **Auction Houses:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for auction houses to showcase and sell rare and iconic vehicles, leveraging the passion of car enthusiasts for high-value transactions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Superhero-Themed Hypercar Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pininfarina.md) - [Sleek Superhero Sports Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pininfarina-b95-gotham.md) - [High-Powered Electric Pick-Up Trucks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/f100-eluminator.md) - [Stealthy Hero-Inspired Clogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batmobile-crocs.md) - [Autonomous Superhero Transportation Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wr322-ugv-batpod.md) - [Bat-Inspired Luxury Hypercar Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-hypercar.md) - [Modern Factory-Tuned Street Trucks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ford-f150-lobo.md) - [Superhero-Inspired Water Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maverick-gt-stormy-knight.md) - [Stealthy Fantasy-Themed Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/f117-4wd-covenant.md)
