The illustrated posters are [dark and shadowy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/darkest-campaign-yet), perfectly capturing the bleak atmosphere of the trilogy. The Batman Begins poster features a looming bat-shaped cavern in a cave, recreating the scene where Bruce Wayne finds the cave and converts it into his lair. The Dark Knight poster is a rendering of the scene where [Batman captures the Joker](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arkham-asylum-set), and depicts the Joker tied up and dangling from scaffolding on a construction site. The final poster, The Dark Knight Rises, has the looming Shadow of Batman rising up out of a silhouette of Gotham City. The minimal use of colors and severe edges of the posters make for dark and sinister images that are a perfect fit of the set of films. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 68% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Alternative Movie Posters:** There is an opportunity for a platform that enables and connects aspiring artists to established stores and galleries to create alternative movie posters - **Illustrated Movie Posters:** The development of a platform that uses machine learning to generate illustrated movie posters that capture the essence of a movie - **Dark Movie Posters:** A platform that uses biometric and psychometric data to design movie posters that appeal to people with a Dark Triad personality trait ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art:** The art industry can leverage technology to create platforms that enable aspiring artists to showcase and monetize their work in new and creative ways - **Movie Productions:** By adopting machine learning technology, the movie industry can explore new avenues to promote their latest projects, especially during the current pandemic, where traditional marketing strategies are limited - **Psychology:** Companies can apply biometric and psychometric studies to create movie posters targeted to a particular group segment, thus enhancing their chances of success in the market ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Film-Inspired Graphic Apparel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-dark-knight-collection.md) - [Movie-Themed Art NFTs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheeky-kyser.md) - [Witty Toy-Brand Horror Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/horror-poster.md) - [Villain-Inspired Graphic Streetwear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saint-mxxxxxx.md) - [Vintage-Inspired Eclipse Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solar-eclipse-poster.md) - [Dark Superhero Apparel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batman-x-blvck-collection.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Classical Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sen-donnan.md) - [Retro Space-Themed Puzzled Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/john-carter.md) - [Cinema-Themed Bat Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bat-boxes.md)
