# Marble Drapery Sinks The 'Nami' Bathroom Washbasin is Carved Yet Draws Inspiration from Fabric By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2016-05-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathroom-washbasin References: [homecrux](http://www.homecrux.com/2016/05/06/45484/nami-washbasin-by-kreoo-is-reminiscent-to-decorative-drapery.html) & [kreoo](http://www.kreoo.com/ru/nami/) The [Kreoo 'Nami](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handchiseled-marble-basin)' bathroom washbasin might be carved from a block of solid marble, but the aesthetic would have one thinking otherwise. Drawing inspiration from drapery, the Kreoo 'Nami' sink looks as though it were flowing in the breeze or draped with a sheet rather than being a solid fixture. The Kreoo 'Nami' sink is the design work of Enzo Berti of Italy and pays homage to the design work of famous sculptors who were able to bring [marble to life through sculpting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/terra-frammenti). There has been a distinct shift towards post-modernism within the home design world, yet the incorporation of classic aesthetics continues to be observed in balance. The Kreoo 'Nami' bathroom washbasin reflects the tastes of today with the stylistic aesthetic and commitment to quality of yesteryear. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Post-modernism:** Discovering innovative ways to incorporate classic aesthetics in post-modern designs can create unique products in the home design industry. - **Flowing Aesthetics:** Exploring new materials and techniques to create fixtures that appear to be flowing or draped can revolutionize the bathroom sink industry. - **Inspired Sculpting:** Taking inspiration from famous sculptors and applying their techniques to design washbasins with carved marble can lead to disruptive innovation in the home decor market. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Design:** Integrating classic aesthetics and post-modernism in home design products can give businesses an edge in the competitive home decor industry. - **Bathroom Fixtures:** Incorporating flowing aesthetics and innovative designs in bathroom sinks can open up new opportunities for disruption and differentiation in the bathroom fixtures market. - **Marble Sculpting:** Applying the techniques of famous sculptors to carve marble washbasins can create a niche market for luxury and artistic home decor products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artful Artisanal Marble Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handchiseled-marble-basin.md) - [Dynamic Marble Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinito.md) - [Textural Bathroom Sink Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washbasin-collection.md) - [Collaborative Seashell-Like Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spire-washbasin.md) - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md) - [Playful Concrete Wash Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kast-wave-collection.md) - [Slick Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slick-bathroom-sink.md) - [Museum-Like Bathroom Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-face-bathroom-collection.md)
