On a recent visit to Portugal’s Alentejo to see the not-for-profit group Eco Interventions, Lush's team was inspired to replace its aluminium shampoo bar tins with cork dishes. Since Lush offers shampoos, conditioners and [solid soap bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seabar) that stay slightly wet after use, the new and improved cork-based tins offer fast-drying and moisture-wicking benefits that help to preserve the lifespan of the product. As a material, cork may only legally harvested every few years to prevent strain on the trees.
