# Sport-Themed Wine Holders The Baseball Bat Wine Rack is a Rustic Artistic Addition to Any Home Bar By Madison Mackay | Published 2018-07-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bat-wine-rack References: [thegreenhead](https://www.thegreenhead.com/2018/05/baseball-bat-wine-rack.php) & [uncommongoods](https://www.uncommongoods.com/product/baseball-bat-wine-rack) New York-based designers Tia Van Winkler and Kevin Phillips created the new Baseball Bat Wine Rack from real recycled wooden [baseball bats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghostwrite-x-mlb-game-face) that are sourced from Cooperstown, the home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. The new [wine rack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/placemat-hightop-table) can be posted on any wall, with the ability to hold up to [three bottles of wine](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-stopper-1) at once in a unique inverted position using the hand-crafted metal coils. The original bat is simply cleaned and re-strained to make it look as authentic as possible, making it the perfect addition to any man cave or at-home bar. The high-end hardware allows the Baseball Bat Wine Rack to be hung at any direction on the wall while still securely holding each bottle of wine -- per consumers choice. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Recycled Home Decor:** There is an opportunity for designers to create innovative products by repurposing materials like baseball bats into unique home decor. - **Handcrafted Wine Accessories:** Artisans can tap into the market for specialized and artistic wine storage solutions by creating handcrafted wine accessories like the Baseball Bat Wine Rack. - **Upscaled Sports Memorabilia:** Entrepreneurs can disrupt the sports memorabilia industry by transforming ordinary sports equipment, like baseball bats, into upscale and functional pieces like the Baseball Bat Wine Rack. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can benefit from incorporating unique and eco-friendly pieces like the Baseball Bat Wine Rack into their product offerings. - **Wine Accessories:** There is an opportunity for growth in the wine accessories industry by creating specialized and artistic storage solutions like the handcrafted Baseball Bat Wine Rack. - **Sports Memorabilia:** Innovators can disrupt the sports memorabilia market by introducing high-end products, such as the baseball bat wine rack, that transform ordinary sports equipment into upscale and functional collectibles. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bat-Shaped Wine Openers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-and-beer-openers.md) - [Baseball-Inspired Bag Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baseball-crossbody-bag.md) - [Sporty Wall-Mounted Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dprinted-lamp-1.md) - [Baseball-Inspired Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baseball-inspired-cocktails.md) - [Wine-Catered Vibrant Artful Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-table.md) - [Premium Wine Storage Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-wine-storage.md) - [Artistic Wine Opener Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artistic-wine-opener.md) - [Athlete-Backed Bottle Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rimowa-3.md) - [Vertical Drinking Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-pong.md)
