The Danish brand recently unveiled its new collection during Milan Design Week 2014, and it's stunning. Unlike most traditional designs on the market, this new collection of baroque furniture includes a side table, bar stools and chair designs. Gubi collaborated with Copenhagen studio [GamFratesi](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-beetle-dining-chairs) for the new designs. The smooth and chic side table features beautiful geometric marble tops in Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquina, Verde Guatemala or Marrone Emperador -- and can be stacked atop of each other. The GamFratesi designers Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi think that this collection will be perfect for a stylish office. "We've often been inspired by art, whilst also being aware of the heritage of design," says Fratesi. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Contemporary Baroque Furniture:** The fusion of contemporary and baroque designs creates opportunities for businesses to create futuristic yet sophisticated furniture pieces. - **Geometric Marble Tops:** The use of geometric marble tops offers opportunities for businesses to create unique and customizable designs in furniture or home decor industries. - **Stackable Furniture:** The innovation of stackable furniture allows for businesses to create space-saving and versatile products, perfect for both residential and commercial spaces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture:** Furniture businesses can explore the possibilities of combining contemporary and traditional styles, using new materials such as geometric marble tops, to create high-end designs for both home and office spaces. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate stackable furniture pieces, like the collection from Gubi, to create functional and versatile spaces that can easily adapt to different needs and occasions. - **Home Decor:** Home decor businesses can experiment with customizable designs using geometric marble tops, offering customers unique and personalized options for their homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Cozy Contemporary Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-furniture-collection1.md) - [Celebrity-Designed Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/goop-and-cb2.md) - [Domestic Artful Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculpted-series.md) - [Modular Glass Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modulo-collection.md) - [Design-Forward Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/furniture-collection1.md) - [Contemporary Collaborative Luxe Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ann-demeulemeesterserax.md) - [Steel Hybrid Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloc-studios.md) - [Bauhaus Era-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-1.md) - [Home Office Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dieffebi.md)
