The decor of the hotel itself is [classic, minimalist and avant-garde](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kimpton-los-monteros-hotel), capturing much of the detail of a 1920s European library. This vintage feel is contrasted with the modern terrace, which has been repeatedly described as possessing the most spectacular pool of the city. The perfect place to sit back and take in the wonders of Barcelona architecture and city skies, the terrace offers entertainment, food and relaxation. **Implications** - Luxurious swimming pools are a powerful draw for tourists looking for a full relaxation experience. Rooftop pools and terraces that offer panoramic views are even more alluring as they allow the traveler to sightsee and relax simultaneously. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 68% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Travel](https://www.trendhunter.com/travel) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Rooftop Infinity Pools:** Rooftop pools and terraces with panoramic views are becoming increasingly popular as they offer tourists a unique and luxurious relaxation experience. - **Luxury Hospitality Design:** Hotels are increasingly investing in luxurious and avant-garde design elements to attract high-end tourists. - **Blending Vintage and Modern Aesthetics:** The trending combination of classic, minimalist and avant-garde design elements provides hotels with an opportunity to create a unique and memorable customer experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Hospitality and Tourism:** Hotels, resorts and tourism destinations can leverage rooftop infinity pools as a key selling point for luxury relaxation experiences. - **Architecture and Design:** Architecture and design professionals can collaborate on creating innovative and luxurious rooftop pool designs that blend vintage and modern aesthetics. - **Food and Beverage:** Food and beverage businesses, from restaurants to catering services, can take advantage of a growing trend of poolside dining at rooftop infinity pools. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Luxurious Pool Clubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bombon-pool-club.md) - [Rooftop Pool Pop-Ups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/htel-swexan-x-missoni.md) - [Extravagant Catalan Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sls-barcelona.md) - [Elegant Boutique Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-barcelona-edition.md) - [Urban Portugal Swimming Pools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-pool.md) - [Skylight-Topped English Pool Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/malvern-pool-house.md) - [Bamboo Luxe Pool Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/godai-pavilion.md) - [Mid-Century Nostalgic Hotel Redesigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hotel-riomar.md) - [Bali-Inspired European Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manon-les-suites.md)
