London-based photographer Barbara Anastacio prefers not to shoot in what she calls "the [sterility of a studio](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lean-studio)." Indeed, her work is full of life, full of stories and full of meaning. Even her [landscape-focused photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/all-within-the-detour) in her 'Northern Winds' series, which was inspired by a trip to Scotland, conveys the mystery in humanity.

Many of Barbara Anastacio's human subjects are those who are committed to something, or in her words, "have a strong sense of 'belonging,'" a feat which means the viewer is held captive to her work.
