The bamboo emergency medical transportation devices (EMTD) are a project of [Design for Development Society](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/design-next-agency). Their mission was to utilize [sustainable local materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bamboo-biorefinery) in both the design and manufacturing process of the ambulances; bamboo was an obvious choice. The project will offer EMTDs for those patients in need of transportation who wouldn't otherwise have access to emergency care. The Bambulance is to provide more affordable and faster transit times.
