The brand's [filtered water bottle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-filter-tumbler) is leakproof with a stainless steal clap and a 100% natural bamboo filter that is fully capable of cleansing tap water from harmful chemicals and unpleasant odors. BU's reasoning behind the development of its bamboo-based products is tri-fold. Firstly, the material is sustainable as it is fast-growing, durable and does not require high maintenance. Secondly, the surface is versatile and adaptable as it can be Kiln-activated — a technique that brings about a "huge surface area of [activated charcoal](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charcoal-toothpaste1) with countless bonding sites." Finally, the bamboo-based products are completely recyclable and the water bottle's filter can be crushed and placed in the backyard, where it releases nutrients into the soil.
