# Anatomical Balloon Art A Second Nature Balloonatomy By Cowbag | Published 2008-10-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloonatomy-anatomical-balloon-art References: [referencelibrary.blogspot](http://referencelibrary.blogspot.com/2007/11/balloonatomy.html) Entitled 'A Second Nature,' this piece of art was created by design student Christopher Brach from the [Design Academy Eindhoven](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pasona-natureverse-pavilion) in the Netherlands. I absolutely love the intestines! It is just a really clever and stylish use of balloons and the resulting image rocks. What's more, Brach's detailed research for this piece resulted in a book about the human body and its shape to come. **Implications** - The art piece features balloons in different colors which represent the different organs of the body. The heart stands out in bright red, while other organs such as the intestines are colored in a light pink. [Sculptures such as this](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiyuan-xu) would be an interesting way for science teachers to explain parts of the human body to kids. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Anatomical Balloon Art:** Creating anatomical sculptures using balloons can be a novelty for science teachers to help explain the human body. - **Balloon Decorations:** Balloon decorations go beyond traditional party ornaments and can be used as modern art forms. - **Ballooning as Art:** Trend in creating artistic sculptures with balloons as a material. ### Where This Applies - **Art:** Artists can use balloon installations to create unique and interactive art installations. - **Education:** Science teachers can incorporate balloon sculptures to make learning biology and anatomy more interesting to kids. - **Event Planning:** Event planners can integrate balloon decorations into their designs to create unique atmospheres. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Health Object Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/out-of-orifice.md) - [Human Torso-Inspired Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lene-bdker.md) - [Educational Anatomy Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giant-heart-with-hidden-cells.md) - [Tubed Immersive Organ-Like Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/organlike-installation.md) - [Immersive Balloon Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-story-popup.md) - [Inflated Design Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-as-a-main-material.md) - [Anatomical Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giant-skull-with-hidden-organs.md) - [Human Body Discovery Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultimate-squishy-human-body.md) - [Colorfully Inflatable Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blowup-art-the-hague.md)
