# Inflatable Dinosaur Exhibits The Balloon Animal Acrocanthosaurus Can Go Extinct with One Pin Prick By Michael Hines | Published 2013-04-26 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-animal-acrocanthosaurus References: [technabob](http://technabob.com/blog/2013/04/25/giant-balloon-dinosaur/) & [vmnh.net](http://www.vmnh.net/) Here's hoping that more museums around the country take note of the awesomeness that is the balloon animal acrocanthosaurus. This 20-foot long balloon dinosaur was created by Larry Moss' and his Airigami team. The monstrous balloon animal is currently located in the Virginia Museum of Natural History, right next to a resin model of an actual acrocanthosaurus. For those who aren't crazy for dinosaurs, the acrocanthosaurus was a carnivore that lived during the Creataceous period. The balloon animal acrocanthosaurus took a total of four days to create, a process which can be seen in the time lapse video, here. In addition to its [inflatable dinosaur](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bitzee-jurassic-world), the Virginia Natural History Museum also has multiple [balloon flowers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keff-joons) and bugs created by Larry Moss and his talented Airigami team. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Inflatable Dinosaur Exhibits:** Creating large, inflatable dinosaur exhibits for museums and educational purposes provides a unique and interactive way to engage visitors. ### Where This Applies - **Museums:** Museums can incorporate inflatable dinosaur exhibits to attract visitors and enhance the educational experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Interactive Fossil-Inspired Costumes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wearable-dinosaur-costume.md) - [Reversible Dinosaur Plushies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glow-in-the-dark-dinosaur-plushies.md) - [Giant Custom Inflatables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giant-inflatables.md) - [Dinosaur Convention Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/convention-crasher.md) - [Interactive Hatching Dinosaur Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dinosaur-toys.md) - [Dinosaur Intricate Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dinosaur-fossils-tyrannosaurus-rex.md) - [Futuristic Museum Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unnatural-history-museum-of-singapore.md) - [Dinosaur-Themed Leather Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/labgrown-leather-ltd.md) - [Collectible Dinosaur Desk Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chrome-dino.md)
