# Hook-On Balcony Tables balKonzept Railing Table by Michael Hilgers Adds a Surface Without Drilling By Amy Duong | Published 2026-03-11 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balkonzept-railing References: [rephorm.eu](https://www.rephorm.eu/balkonshop/balkonzept/#cc-m-product-11984055998) The balKonzept railing table by Michael Hilgers is a compact outdoor surface designed to attach directly to balcony railings. The balKonzept railing table by Michael Hilgers hooks over the railing using a curved rear form and a single adjusting screw that secures the unit in place. This installation method avoids drilling, brackets, or permanent fixtures, allowing renters to add a [small workspace or table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leandesk) to balconies where floor space is limited. The table measures roughly 60 centimeters wide and about 40 centimeters deep on the interior side, creating enough room for a laptop, drinks, or small plates. It is produced from rotational-molded polyethylene, a material chosen for its resistance to frost, UV exposure, and outdoor weather conditions. A raised trough along the back edge functions as a planter box but can also hold ice or drinks, allowing the surface to work as a bar, desk, or gardening feature depending on how it is used.
