Situated in Cashmere, Washington, the structure is literally [embedded within rolling hills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-the-slope), allowing visitors to feel as if they are firmly planted in nature. This 1,500 square foot space is much like a cabin. [Wooden and concrete additions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-clt-house) are both sturdy and rustic, features that are evidently consistent with the setting. At the same time, a kitchen, powder room and utility space make this structure a far cry from most cottages. [Windows surrounding the exterior](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/westview-residence) of Nahahum make it all the more open and geared towards the hilltops. With sliding doors, access to the exterior is instantaneous and readily available for any guest. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 98% | Activity: 94% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Nature-embedded Architecture:** Opportunity for architects to design structures that integrate seamlessly with the natural environment. - **Rustic Luxury:** Demand for high-quality, rustic-themed homes that offer modern amenities and blending with nature. - **Indoor-outdoor Integration:** Growing interest in creating living spaces that seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor areas. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architectural Design:** Architects can explore innovative approaches to create nature-integrated structures. - **Real Estate:** Opportunity for developers to market and sell high-end homes that offer a rustic luxury experience. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can focus on creating interior spaces that seamlessly flow into outdoor environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elevated Treetop Modern Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buitenverblijf-nest.md) - [Nature-Rooted Family Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haus-am-lagnesberg.md) - [Elevated Mountain Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-cadree-perche.md) - [Nature-Leveraging Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-caoba.md) - [Hilltop Modern Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cloud-house.md) - [Nature-Immersed Creative Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/french-creek-workhops-house.md) - [Natural Landscape-Surrounding Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/under-the-rain-trees.md) - [Tranquil Nature-Centric Cabin Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nortehaus.md) - [Nature-Connecting Vacation Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-by-the-lake.md)
