In this case, she directs her energy towards wood columns, turning them back into their natural forms. The result is a bursting forest of [natural and painted wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1), a visual depiction of the struggle between man and nature. In reality, the Baitogogo installation was created by [Brazilian artist](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/olga-de-amaral) Henrique Oliveira, not Mother Nature. Known for his mind-boggling transformations of both [indoor and outdoor spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vert-installation), Baitogogo is no exception. The Baitogogo installation was recently installed at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, France. The gallery writes, "The artist draws inspiration from medical textbooks, amongst others, and particularly from studies of physical pathologies such as tumors. Through a formal analogy, these outgrowths evoke the outermost layers of the bark of a common tree." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.4/10 - Popularity: 1% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Organic Installations:** Exploring nature-inspired installations as a form of creating more natural and visually pleasing physical spaces. - **Sculptural Transformations:** Transforming everyday structures and materials by reshaping and highlighting their natural attributes. - **Indoor-outdoor Blurring:** Creating installations that blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Exploring how artists and designers can use natural elements to create stunning installations. - **Architecture and Construction:** Developing new techniques for transforming and enhancing building structures. - **Urban Planning:** Exploring how urban planners can create more visually appealing and natural public spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nature-Celebrating Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nature-predates-man.md) - [Blooming Clustered Art Forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/structural-botany.md) - [Resin Gravity Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-great-tree.md) - [Mangrove Forest-Inspired Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/once-upon-a-forest.md) - [Gas Rig Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/striking-art-installation.md) - [Nature-Reconnecting Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highwood-installation.md) - [Lightning-Inspired Artful Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bright-light-shining.md) - [Science-Backed Wooden Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seed-stories.md) - [Tubed Immersive Organ-Like Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/organlike-installation.md)
