When all these elements are integrated, the surface of the New Baghdad coffee table represents a map of the Iraqi capital. Each table is [handmade in India](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bidri-furniture). **Implications** - Ezri Tarazi states that "the idea behind the table is that each shape's various identities are merged into a cohesive plan." The table was built to be perfectly leveled and "has no prop structure." The 'New Baghdad' coffee table is available in two different sizes. It certainly makes for a very interesting conversation piece and can also be used as a learning tool. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 27% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Industrial Steel:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Exploring new ways to repurpose and incorporate industrial steel into furniture design. - **Map-inspired Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating furniture that integrates geographical elements to add a unique and visually appealing touch. - **Handmade Artisan Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Embracing the craftsmanship of handmade furniture as a selling point to appeal to consumers seeking unique and personalized pieces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Pushing the boundaries of traditional furniture design by incorporating unconventional materials and inspirations. - **Steel Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing new production techniques and applications for industrial steel in various industries, including furniture. - **Art and Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating innovative and conversation-starting home decor items that blur the lines between function and artistic expression. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Blurred Bold Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blur-coffee-table.md) - [Topographic Wooden Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/topographic-coffee-table.md) - [Dynamic Strong Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sharp-table.md) - [Discreet Compartment Modern Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taarof-table.md) - [Japandi-Style Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloth-coffee-table.md) - [Solid-Ash Wooden Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boia.md) - [Self-Operating Sand Artwork Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origin-coffee-table.md) - [Wavy Sculptural Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-coffee-tables.md) - [Industrial All-Metal Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lockwerk-coffee-table.md)
