Many brands are curating [vegan-friendly cosmetics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skincare-makeup) such as online retailer Cult Beauty who recently banned the sale of badger hair brushes on its site. The ban on badger hair [make-up brushes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/professionalgrade-makeup-brushes) comes in wake of activism surrounding the unethical farming conditions of the animal. Cult Beauty is one of many mega beauty retailers including NARS, Morphe, and Penhaligon's to stop selling the animal cosmetic product.

The decision was welcomed by animal cruelty activist [PETA](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beauty-without-bunnies). By banning the sale of badger hair brushes on its hugely influential platform, Cult Beauty is helping PETA push the cosmetics industry in a kinder direction.
