People love bacon and it is very apparent with clothing, memes, desserts and of course [ridiculously infused foods with bacon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hot-honey-bacon). The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are Philadelphia's Triple-A affiliates who have recently undergone a delicious and greasy filled change in their uniforms. The professional baseball team's uniforms feature red shirts adorned with the word Pigs on it with a strip of bacon underneath to give a visual to the team's name. Their [baseball caps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/king-of-diamonds) also feature a sizzling strip of bacon above the bill. I enjoy bacon, but I don't know how comfortable I would be with integrating it into my clothing. The team's apparel can be purchased online at the IronPigs' online store. Don't be surprised if while watching a game, you end up getting hungry by the second inning. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 13% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/sports) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Bacon-themed Apparel:** Opportunity for clothing brands to create bacon-themed apparel, capitalizing on the popularity of bacon among consumers. - **Food-inspired Fashion:** Innovative opportunity for fashion designers to create clothing items inspired by popular food items, like bacon. - **Novelty Sports Merchandise:** Emerging trend of sports teams creating unique and creative merchandise, such as bacon-themed uniforms, to engage fans and boost sales. ### Where This Applies - **Clothing and Apparel:** Potential market for clothing brands to tap into the demand for novelty and food-inspired apparel, like bacon-themed clothing. - **Food and Beverage:** Opportunity for food companies to collaborate with fashion designers and create food-inspired clothing items, expanding their brand presence in the fashion industry. - **Sports Merchandise:** Growing market for sports teams and leagues to create innovative merchandise that stands out, like bacon-themed sports uniforms, to attract fans and increase revenue. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Baseball-Inspired High-End Loafers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blackstock-weber3.md) - [Hot Dog-Themed Baseball Fan Merch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canadian-baseball-fans.md) - [Hardcourt Smoked Bacon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hormel-black-label-bacon.md) - [Cotton Candy Bacon Beers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bacon-blonde-ale.md) - [Expansive Bacon-Themed Menus](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baconfest-lineup.md) - [Hot Sauce-Paired Bacons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hormel-1.md) - [Bacon-Packed Restaurant Menus](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buffalo-wild-wings-bacon-menu.md) - [Bacon-Infused Milkshakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultimate-bacon-bash-meal.md) - [Hot Sauce-Flavored Bacon Strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hormel-black-label-franks-redhot.md)
