# Peculiar Porky Prophylactics The Bacon Condoms by J & D's Foods Introduces a New Aphrodisiac By Meghan Young | Published 2013-04-01 | Naughty Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bacon-condoms References: [neatorama](http://www.neatorama.com/2013/03/30/Bacon-Condom/) & [jdfoods.net](http://www.jdfoods.net/) A man would have to either be incredibly brave to use one of the Bacon Condoms or date a girl (or guy) who doesn't love bacon as much as he must if he felt compelled to buy them. Of course, a person would have to be really hungry for the worst case scenario to ever transpire. That aside, bacon could be the latest aphrodisiac. Created by J & D's Foods, whose motto is, appropriately, "[Everything should taste like bacon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultimate-bacon-menu)," the Bacon Condoms look like an April's Fools Day joke. Perhaps it is simply a response to Bill Gates call for [better condoms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skyn-supreme-feel-condoms), since he deems them the single best method of preventing unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases. The Bacon Condoms even come with [bacon lube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dr-squatch-x-trojan). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Naughty](https://www.trendhunter.com/naughty) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Aphrodisiac Innovation Trend:** The introduction of bacon condoms as a potential aphrodisiac opens up opportunities for exploring unconventional and unique flavors in intimate products. - **Novelty Condom Trend:** The creation of bacon-themed condoms showcases the growing trend of novelty and themed condoms, providing opportunities for creative and eye-catching marketing campaigns. - **Food-inspired Intimacy Trend:** The bacon condom concept highlights the rising popularity of incorporating food elements into intimate experiences, presenting opportunities for innovative and enticing product combinations. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Contraceptive Products:** The bacon condom trend presents an innovative opportunity for the contraceptive industry to introduce new flavors and unconventional designs that appeal to a niche market. - **Food and Beverage:** The introduction of bacon condoms creates potential collaboration opportunities between the food and beverage industry and the adult novelty market, allowing for the development of unique and crossover products. - **Marketing and Advertising:** The bacon condom trend offers marketing and advertising professionals the chance to create memorable and attention-grabbing campaigns, catering to the growing demand for novelty and unconventional products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sour Bacon-Flavored Candies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sour-punch-bacon-bites.md) - [Hot Sauce-Flavored Bacon Strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hormel-black-label-franks-redhot.md) - [Bacon-Scented Fragrant Perfumes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wright-n-100.md) - [Fictional AI-Powered Condoms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manforce-condoms.md) - [Hot Sauce-Paired Bacons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hormel-1.md) - [Celebratory Bacon Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bacon-cake.md) - [Cider-Flavored Bacon Strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-label-apple-cider-bacon.md) - [Upcycled Bacon Jams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tbj-gourmet-bacon-jam.md) - [Premium Flavored Bacons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dailys-premium-meats.md)
