Inspired by [traditional courtyard homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cupertino-courtyard-house), the exterior facade features a [steel frame with timber accenting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timber-residence) and concrete walls. The two-storey dwelling features 7-meter high glass doors that open up into the central courtyard of the home. While the living spaces are arranged according to the courtyard and the large tree, the extra skylight provides additional sunlight to flow into the space. The house was also inspired by connecting the individual with nature, and the architect facilitates [organic ventilation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-corjeum) by pulling in cool air from the base, allowing for warmer air to escape. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Sustainable Architecture:** Opportunity to innovate in designing eco-friendly homes that connect people with nature. - **Courtyard Living:** Innovative design opportunities to create living spaces that revolve around a central courtyard. - **Organic Ventilation:** Opportunities to develop innovative ventilation systems that utilize natural airflow. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Residential Architecture:** Innovative design opportunities to create sustainable and eco-friendly homes that prioritize natural elements. - **Green Construction Materials:** Opportunity for eco-friendly construction material companies to collaborate with architects in creating sustainable homes. - **HVAC and Ventilation:** Innovative design opportunities to incorporate natural ventilation systems in homes while reducing dependence on artificial cooling systems. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Vietnamese Dwellings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tien-giang-house.md) - [Temple-Inspired Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/j-kidman-architecture.md) - [Tranquil Functional Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atelier-varun.md) - [Environmentally Blending Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ineffable-light.md) - [Contemporary Timber Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-saidera.md) - [Childhood-Inspired Generational Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reflection-house.md) - [Landscape-Integrated Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-by-the-grove.md) - [Tranquil Courtyard Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sanctum-house.md) - [London-Based Narrow Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/courtyard-house-1.md)
