Revel Spirits launched Revel as a new brand and with it, a new category of distilled liquor by the name of Avila.

Avila is made with the same 100% blue weber agave that goes into the making of tequila, but boasts a different name as it does not come from the over-farmed Tequila region of Mexico. The first Avila is being introduced as an [ultra-premium agave spirit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tequila-options), made with roasted and steamed piñas, in three varieties: [Blanco, Reposado and Añejo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aejo-expression).

Revel's Avila is set to fill a need in the market as an alternative to tequila, especially during the growing shortage of the spirit. Already, [Revel Avila](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arancini-bites) has won silver and bronze at the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its innovative new expressions.
