# Autonomous Hearse Coffins This Hologram-Equipped Hearse Offers Comfort for the Dead By Aastha Shetty | Published 2017-03-06 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/autopilot-hearse References: [dailymail](http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-4278652/Bizarre-transparent-coffin-beams-hologram-deceased.html) & [imaginactive.org](http://imaginactive.org/2017/02/aeternal/) A Mumbai-based agency is offering up a bizarre new way to comfort the dead -- an autopilot hearse. The creators at an agency called Lunatic Koncepts have created a hearse that they say will ensure a cool exit with to-die-for features like air conditioning, a hologram projector and an engine that can be pre-programmed to drive you to your final destination. The 'Aeternal' is the answer to all coffins that sit in deathly silence -- instead, the dead can now opt to listen to their favorite tunes in surround sound while watching a slideshow of pictures that can be uploaded by mourning family members. However, the bizarre concept is not an entirely brand-new. The Aeternal is an updated model of the Korbiyor, an early prototype created by Charles Bombardier in 2015. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Autonomous Hearse Technology:** Opportunities for development in autopilot hearse technology and accompanying features can offer a more comforting experience for the deceased's family and friends. - **Personalized Coffin Experience:** Coffins equipped with holographic projectors and the ability for uploaded photos and music can create a more personalized and meaningful experience for mourners. - **Advanced Funeral Transportation:** Advancements in funeral transportation technology extend beyond the traditional hearse and offer customizable options for transporting the deceased. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Funeral Services:** Innovation within the funeral services industry can provide more thoughtful and unique options for grieving families and friends. - **Automotive:** Developments in autonomous vehicles can be applied to the funeral services industry, offering more advanced transportation options for the deceased. - **Technology:** The integration of technology in funeral services can lead to new and innovative ways to memorialize loved ones. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Humorous Macabre Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coffin-office-chair.md) - [Post-Mortem Pet Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cirius-beam-projector.md) - [Life-Size Casket Coolers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casket-cooler.md) - [Biodegradable Burial Caskets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-biotech.md) - [Metaverse-Ready Road Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holograktor.md) - [Tranquil Interior Autonomous Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hyundai-ioniq-seven.md) - [Steering Wheel-Free Autonomous Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/innerspace.md) - [Digital Memorialization Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/remembermeai.md) - [Coffin-Shaped Beverage Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-casket-cooler.md)
