Despite the progress of technology, you likely find yourself toting your wall charger with you wherever you go. Since many Androids and [iPhones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hinyx) have 24 hour cycles, one needs to be ever prepared to feed his device more power on the go. The Autonome Smartphone is a concept that aims to make this process a little easier. It does not ambitiously claim to have an extended battery life, but it incorporates an ingenious solution for shedding those [tangled cords](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lanyard-charging) in your briefcase. Francois Rybarczyk's design reworks the function of the handset's exterior, suggesting a durable shell with a magnesium unibody frame. Most significantly, the Autonome Smartphone incorporates a [pop-out wall plug](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-charging-adapter) with an additional battery. With this, the cellphone can be connected directly to the power source or the prongs can be detached and refueled separately. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 63% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Mobile Charging Solutions:** The Autonome Smartphone's built-in mobile charger represents a trend in convenient and accessible power on the go. - **Wireless Charging:** The concept of a pop-out wall plug with an additional battery in the Autonome Smartphone highlights the trend of wireless charging. - **Portable Power:** The Autonome Smartphone addresses the trend of portable power solutions with its detachable and refillable prongs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** Consumer electronics companies can capitalize on the trend of mobile charging solutions by developing innovative products like the Autonome Smartphone. - **Smartphone Manufacturing:** The Autonome Smartphone's wireless charging feature presents an opportunity for smartphone manufacturers to incorporate this technology into their devices. - **Power Supply:** Companies in the power supply industry can leverage the trend of portable power by developing innovative solutions like detachable and refillable prongs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Display-Equipped Smart Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dino-charger.md) - [Rapid Phone Charging Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swapperys-external-smartphone-battery.md) - [Power-Providing Smartphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solove-power-bank.md) - [Detachable Component Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-smartphone-design.md) - [Patch-Style Smartphone Power Packs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/battery-pods.md) - [Three-in-One Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chargepuck.md) - [Frozen Treat Power Banks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popsic-charger.md) - [Kinetic-Friendly Power Banks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/last-resort-power-bank.md) - [Screen-Equipped Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anker-nano-charger.md)
