Similar to a coffee machine, it brews a cup of ready-made tea while people are busy doing other things. Conceived by Nottingham-based designer Luke Smith, the Automatic Tea Making Machine goes beyond that, however. It has a timer so that the water doesn't start boiling until the very minute the user wants it to. It can also be [synced to smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-tea-infuser) for even more complex commands. The Automatic Tea Making Machine boasts an [alarm clock](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunrise-alarm-clock-coffee-maker) as well, which is especially useful during busy mornings. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Smart Home Appliances:** There is an opportunity to disrupt the home appliance industry by creating more smart appliances that can be controlled through smartphones and other smart devices. - **Automated Brewing Devices:** Automated brewing devices like the Automatic Tea Making Machine can greatly improve convenience and save time for individuals and businesses alike. - **Innovation in Kitchen Gadgets:** There is a need for more innovative kitchen gadgets that make cooking and preparing food easier and faster than traditional methods. ### Who This Affects Most - **Appliance Manufacturing:** Appliance manufacturers can consider developing more smart home devices, such as the tea making machine, to appeal to tech-savvy consumers. - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can benefit from automated brewing devices by providing guests with a quick and convenient way to prepare tea or coffee in their room. - **Home Décor and Gift Shops:** Home décor and gift shops could explore selling automated brewing devices as practical and unique gift ideas for tea and coffee lovers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Smart Tea-Brewing Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chaibot.md) - [Automated Chai Tea Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dostea-tea-machine.md) - [Relaxing Countertop Tea Brewers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-tea-maker.md) - [Luxe Tea-Brewing Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/affinitea-brewing-system.md) - [AI-Driven Tea Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bru.md) - [Customizable Connected Tea Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connected-tea-pot.md) - [Automated Extraction Teapots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reedesigned-teapot.md) - [Minimalist Capsule Tea Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dado-tea-machine.md) - [Mindful Tea-Making Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tea-maker-concept.md)
