[Tesla](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tesla-cybercab) has been working on its automated emergency baking system since 2017. The system will function using Autopilot technology and will be issued to Tesla drivers, even those which have not purchased the Autopilot cruise-assist package.

Tesla has recently shown the [automated emergency braking system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automated-driving-system) off on the company's [Twitter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fsd) account. The improved system has some enhanced features which the company highlights. It is able to break when the system has noticed a pedestrian, or cyclist, in front of the vehicle. The system functions by using sensors on the car, the sensors are connected to a computer in the car which allows it to avoid collisions, whether with a vehicle, cyclist, or a pedestrian.
