The unit is presented as an initial offering in a class of adaptive household robotics, engineered to perform three distinct cleaning functions, including deep shampooing for carpets, suction-based debris removal, and damp cloth mopping for hard surfaces. Central to R2 Pro's operation is a three-phase carpet maintenance system that conducts washing, rinsing, and drying processes autonomously. This functionality is supported by a substantial air-wattage suction motor and a guidance system utilizing [artificial intelligence for spatial recognition](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-robot-vacuum). Robotin's design for its automated cleaning device incorporates a docking station that manages fresh water and waste disposal. The manufacturer has also indicated plans for subsequent add-ons.
