However, because of the Northern Lights' fickle nature, not many do. But [astrophotographer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seestar-s30) Kwon O Chul not only saw the ethereal lights as they lit up the sky, he even had the chance to photograph the majestic phenomena in this dazzling series. Showing the audience images of the night sky filled with eerie green streaks of dancing light, Chul’s [Aurora Borealis series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/borealis-series) was shot near Yellowknife in northern Canada. The Korean photographer was lucky to capture the incredibly bright auroras which illuminated the sky with veils of neon green. We see [outdoor viewing tee-pees](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sky-view-tent) in Chul’s photographs underneath the majestic lights, which juxtaposes beautifully the natural light display. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Aurora Borealis Tourism:** There is an opportunity for the travel and tourism industry to create unique experiences centered around witnessing the Aurora Borealis phenomenon. - **Astrophotography Equipment:** The astrophotography industry can develop innovative equipment and technology to capture the beauty of the Aurora Borealis more effectively. - **Nature-inspired Artistic Expression:** Artists and designers can draw inspiration from the Aurora Borealis to create visually stunning and ethereal artwork. ### Who This Affects Most - **Travel and Tourism:** The travel and tourism industry can promote destinations where the Aurora Borealis can be witnessed. - **Photography and Imaging:** The photography and imaging industry can provide specialized services and equipment for capturing the Aurora Borealis phenomenon. - **Fine Arts and Design:** The fine arts and design industry can explore incorporating the aesthetics of the Aurora Borealis into various art forms. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Unique Interactive Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-aurora.md) - [Festive Light Painting Techniques](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-painting-1.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Aurora-Inspired Vodka Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grey-goose-bottle.md) - [Winter Light Art Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nordic-lights.md) - [Tree Branch-Formed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celestial-attraction.md) - [Physics-Based Artful Light Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aura-collection-1.md) - [Immersive Light Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Immersive Space Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beyond-the-light.md)
