Recycled plastic and salt crystals were the materials used by London's Auroboros for creating a dynamic living dress that changes shape and color. As the designers of Auroboros described to Dezeen, "the design of the gown seeks to envisage how a plant would appear if it were to grow on a body, depicting how it would mould to the shape and silhouette of a figure."

The Biomimicry dress was created with [digital programming](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/programmable-clothing) and recycled Perspex to form the underlying structure for the artful piece. To finish off the striking look, the dress was paired with recycled glass beads by [Swarovski](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chroma-twist) from a precious project.

Biomimicry was recently worn by artificial intelligence robot Ai-Da at the London Design Festival and an exhibition inside the Victoria and [Albert](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/norcross-furniture) Musuem.
