According to Dvice, "When mounted from above a sports arena, the [300 microphones set in a circular position](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-mic-system) can zoom in and isolate a [single audio pitch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyn-technology)." Created by physicists Morgan Kjølerbakken and Vibeke Jahr, the AudioScope system could revolutionize sound systems in stadiums and auditoriums. By zoning into a particular conversation or sound, this sound system can project sound waves into the far corners of the building. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/sports) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Super Sensitive Microphones:** AudioScope System: Revolutionizing Sound in Public Venues - **Isolated Audio Pitch:** AudioScope System: Focusing on Distinct Sounds - **Sound Projection Technology:** AudioScope System: Advancing Speaker Technology ### Where This Applies - **Sports and Entertainment:** AudioScope System: Improving Sound Systems for Stadiums and Concert Venues - **Public Speaking:** AudioScope System: Enhancing Audio During Presentations and Conferences - **Surveillance:** AudioScope System: Improving Audio Surveillance in Public Spaces ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Full-Range Micro Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/micro-speakers.md) - [Sound-Localizing Smartphone Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soundcam-go.md) - [Miniature Wireless Microphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ct5inc.md) - [Interactive Music Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sound-maestro.md) - [Ceiling-Mounted Microphone Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sennheiser-teamconnect-ceiling-2.md) - [Custom-Tuned Recording Microphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/avermedia-am350.md) - [Dynamic Pro-Grade Modeling Microphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/universal-audio-sphere-l22.md) - [Conversation-Muting Audio Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-robot.md) - [Noise-Reducing Broadcast Microphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rycote.md)
