As many will know, the iPhone 7 doesn't feature an audio headphone jack; this inhibits the use of physical headphones in favor of wireless ones. The 'Wizician' looks to help provide a simply way to expand the Lightning port on the iPhone 7 by splicing it into a headphone jack as well as a Lightning port. Funding now on [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miops-spark), the 'Wizician' audio adapter cable also operates as an [audio amplifier](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fiio-snowsky-tiny) to help enhance the capabilities of the small splicer to be even more efficient. Control buttons on the exterior of the adapter enable control without having to prompt the iPhone. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Port-splicing Functionality:** Opportunity to develop and innovate audio adapter cables that expand port functionality on smartphones. - **Enhanced Audio Amplification:** Opportunity to create audio adapter cables that double as audio amplifiers to enhance smartphone audio capabilities. - **Integrated Control Buttons:** Opportunity to design audio adapter cables with built-in control buttons for easy access and control without relying on the smartphone. ### Where This Applies - **Audio Accessories:** Opportunity for audio accessory manufacturers to create innovative adapter cables that enhance smartphone audio functionality. - **Mobile Technology:** Opportunity for mobile technology companies to develop innovative audio adapter cables that expand port functionality on smartphones and improve audio quality. - **Consumer Electronics:** Opportunity for consumer electronics companies to design adapter cables that offer convenient control options and improved audio amplification for smartphones. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Customizable Bluetooth Amplifier Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whooshi-portable-amplifier.md) - [Magnetic Smartphone Audio Amplifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hires-headphone-amplifier.md) - [Smartphone Audio DAC Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campfire-audio-dac-wallet.md) - [Backwards-Compatible Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/obsoless-iphone-case.md) - [Multipurpose Charging Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zeusx-go-ultra.md) - [Affordable Headphone Adapters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maxell-sync-up.md) - [Aftermarket Smartphone Audio Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buddy-audio-device.md) - [Magnetic Adapter Hub Connectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multiport-adapter.md) - [Charging-Friendly Smartphone Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-gaming-controller.md)
