The air purification technology is designed for use in electric vehicles, and would clean the air when driving and when charging. The system works by being integrated into the front section of the vehicle where it would utilize a filter to trap particulate matter from the surrounding environment. This would drive down the vehicle's contribution to air pollution and that created by other vehicles on the road. Project Manager in Attachment System Development at [AUDI AG](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audi-urbansphere-concept) Fabian Groh spoke on the Audi Urban Purifier saying, "This particulate filter is an example of our pursuit of innovation for everyone’s benefit and a successful collaboration with specialized suppliers. We are already doing a lot today on our own initiative. We anticipate it will also become a legal requirement in the future." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 1% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 13% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Electric Vehicle Air Purification:** The development and integration of air purification technology in electric vehicles creates an opportunity for reducing air pollution levels in cities. - **Passive Pollution Capture:** Passive air purification systems embedded in electric vehicles create an opportunity for reducing particulate matter from the environment without additional effort. - **Collaboration with Specialized Suppliers:** Working closely with specialized suppliers to develop and implement air purification technology in electric vehicles creates an opportunity for innovative partnerships. ### Who This Affects Most - **Automotive:** The automotive industry can benefit from integrating air purification technology in electric vehicles, creating an opportunity for differentiation and positioning as leaders in sustainable transportation. - **Environmental Technology:** The development and implementation of air purification technology in electric vehicles presents opportunity for growth and innovation in the environmental technology industry. - **Regulatory Compliance:** As air pollution regulations become more stringent, the compliance industry can take advantage of the opportunity to assist automotive brands in meeting emissions standards while promoting environmentally conscious solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Car-Incorporated Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nanoe-x-air.md) - [Mood-Enhancing Car Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fri-air-purifier.md) - [Car-Designed Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-purifier1.md) - [Dynamic Air-Purifying Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vox-aeris.md) - [Triple-Function Vehicle Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amoby-air-purifier.md) - [Cup Holder Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freschair.md) - [Autonomous Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mito-air-purifier.md) - [Drone-Equipped Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultro-air-purification-system.md) - [Advanced Car Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lac100.md)
