Pairing the grand stone top with basic interlocking wooden legs, the Atlas Collection is comprised of minimalist pieces that nevertheless add an element of elegance into living spaces. Designed by Brad Ascalon for Design Within Reach, the Atlas Collection is comprised of two versions: a [coffee table and side table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solis-collection). Available in both white and black marble, the furniture pieces boast walnut wood supports. For those who believe marble may be a little too much for their home, they can opt for travertine tops. The Atlas Collection was inspired by the Greek mythological character of the same name, hence its humble stance. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 81% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Marble Modernization:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new ways to modernize marble in contemporary design through innovative combinations or applications. - **Minimalist Elegance:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create minimalist furniture designs that combine simplicity and elegance for modern living spaces. - **Mythological Inspiration:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate mythological themes or characters into contemporary furniture designs to add a unique and storytelling element. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore unique materials and design combinations to create contemporary furniture pieces that capture attention and elevate living spaces. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Experiment with unconventional materials and designs to create home decor products that blend style and functionality for modern homes. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate mythological and storytelling elements into interior design concepts to create spaces that inspire and engage visitors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Monolithic Table Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taula-table-collection.md) - [Versatile Travertine-Inspired Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morten-georgsen.md) - [Chic Sustainable Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oceanides-table-collection.md) - [Artful Stone Table Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tom-black.md) - [Concrete Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ancora.md) - [Minimalist Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-coffee-table1.md) - [Ultra-Chic Marble Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abc-stone.md) - [Italian Material-Highlighting Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ria-coffee.md) - [Childhood-Inspired Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tivoli-collection.md)
